Ho Chi Minh Ville , anciennement connue sous le nom de Saigon, est la plus grande et plus active ville du Vietnam avec une population de 7 millions d'habitants. L'on retrouve des rues remplies de gens, des magasins, des vendeurs ambulants. Ne manquez pas le march\u00e9 Ben Thanh - un fantastique endroit pour marchander des produits de toutes sortes. Le mus\u00e9e des restes de Guerre poss\u00e8de une collection impressionante d'images de guerre, la plus \u00e9mouvante est celle de la galerie 'Requiem' qui pr\u00e9sente des photos de journalistes et de photographes qui ont p\u00e9rit pendant les conflits fran\u00e7ais et am\u00e9ricain. Le Palais de la R\u00e9unification \u00e9tait l'ancienne r\u00e9sidence du Pr\u00e9sident du Sud du Vietnam jusqu'au 30 avril 1975 quand les tanks du Nord du Vietnam d\u00e9truisirent ses portes, amenant ainsi la Guerre du Vietnam \u00e0 une fin dramatique. Pr\u00e8s du palais se trouvent quelques uns des meilleurs exemples d'architecture coloniale fran\u00e7aise repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par la cath\u00e9drale Notre Dame et le Bureau de Poste Central. La cath\u00e9drale Notre Dame fut construite entre 1877 et 1883 et les pierres utilis\u00e9es pour sa construction furent import\u00e9es diectement de France. A c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la cath\u00e9drale se tient l'ancien Bureau de Poste construit en 1891. C'est un autre bon exemple d'architecture fran\u00e7aise et c'est le bureau de poste le plus grand du Vietnam. Avec l'histoire coloniale fran\u00e7aise, Ho Chi Minh Ville est de loin la ville la plus moderne du Vietnam. Elle compte de nombreux magasins, des cin\u00e9mas, des discoth\u00e8ques et des bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans l'apr\u00e8s-midi, nous visiterons les c\u00e9l\u00e8bres tunnels de Cu Chi . Ce r\u00e9seau de tunnels s'\u00e9tend sur plus de 200km, et est devenu l\u00e9gendaire dans les ann\u00e9es 1960. Les tunnels Cu Chi ont tenu un r\u00f4le vital dans la Guerre du Vietnam car ils permettaient aux Viet Cong de contr\u00f4ler une large zone rurale \u00e0 seulement une trentaine de kilom\u00e8tres de Saigon. Le tunnel s'\u00e9tend d'Ho Chi Minh Ville \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re du Cambodge et sur trois \u00e9tages. Le r\u00e9seau inclut d'innombrables trappes donnant sur des zones am\u00e9nag\u00e9es pour y vivre, des usines d'armes, des h\u00f4pitaux, des centres de commandement et des cuisines. Aujourd'hui les tunnels restent une attraction touristique majeure offrant aux visiteurs une exp\u00e9rience unique et leur permettant de ressentir ce que pouvait \u00eatre la vie souterraine durant la Guerre du Vietnam.
